INFO SESSIONS new curriculum INT MA AR

Dear students,

a new curriculum for the International Master of Architecture has been approved at the Permanent Education Commission. This will be applied to all enrolled students from next academic year 2015-2016. In order to inform you about these changes and the modified criteria for intercontinental and erasmus exchange within our program, we organise information sessions (since we included them in the news letter, the dates have changed, you will receive an additional email for this):

1. campus Ghent: Feb 25th, 13h (in design studio space)

2. campus Brussels: Feb 26th, 14h (in design studio space)

We hope to see you there.

Related to this curriculum change, we defined new conditions within the INT MA AR to join the Erasmus and Intercontinental exchange programmes:

From the next academic year, there will exist two options for outgoing Erasmus and Intercontinental exchange:

General Erasmus exchange: the students apply to enrol during one or two semesters (semester 1 or 2) in the programmes of the partner institutions, the credits obtained abroad are fully recognised within the International programme. Selection is based on study results, motivation, compatibility and availability within the partner network.

Thematic exchanges (Erasmus and Intercontinental exchange) will be possible for one semester (semester 3, coinciding with the first part of the Master Dissertation studio OPO42) according to the following conditions: when applying, the students choose an academic promotor and a related theme that will be used to develop the Master Dissertation in the 4th semester, working on a site in the city they will spend one semester (eg exchange in Milan, working on a site and related theme in Milan); the students are obliged to register for OPO42, as they will develop the first part of this design studio abroad (5ECTS credits) abroad: the following semester, they will further develop the Master Dissertation at the home institution (semester 4) under supervision of the same academic promotor.
