Fleeting Grounds: The Ephemeral Remnants of Industrial Landscapes.

This project examines the traces of movement on a post-industrial landscape in Charleroi, Belgium. Using a panoramic photograph of a slag heaps muddy surface, it captures remnants such as footprints and tire tracks left on the terrain. These traces are mapped through colored tracings and measured for width and distance, creating drawings reminiscent of archaeological plans. Th e work highlights the visual perspective of these markings, overlaying them onto a 1-point perspective grid. By blending archaeological and architectural drawing techniques, the project reflects on the futility and precision of documenting ephemeral remnants.
