It is very encouraging to see that many KU Leuven alumni were nominated for the 2024 edition of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture Mies van der Rohe Awards (EUmies Awards), as leading principals or collaborators in excellent architectural practices.
As our faculty is showcasing by means of an alumni event the Belgian 4 shortlisted projects and the 18 Belgian nominees for this prize, including the KU Leuven Young Talent (YTTA) finalist (and its 11 BE nominees), we would like to invite you to join us for the launch of this exhibition on Thursday May 2nd, 2024 @ 5pm, at the KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture, Paleizenstraat 65, 1030.
Ivan Blasi, curator of the EUmies Awards and Jutta Kastner, policy officer Creative Europe will be present at the launch, introducing the EUmies Awards programme. Guest speakers are Sara Noel Costa de Araujo (Studio SNCDA), Oana Bogdan (&bogdan) and Paul Steinbrück (POOL IS COOL).
