The Master Thesis Project by Maria Silvia Pinte, titled “Navigating Through Shrinkage: Catalizing Change through Resilient Degrowth in Călan”, supervised by Anuschka Kutz during the Fragilities Thesis studio 2022/2023, has been recently selected for the Diploma Section exhibition at BATRA 2023, Transilvania Architecture Biennial, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The project, which dealt with a post-industrial shrinking town in Romania, is on view in Unirii Square from 20 October to 20 November 2023. The theme of the event this year is (imp)ACT, urging both architects as well as the public to question the meanings of architectural impact.
