Issue 58 of the magazine Ruimte published an article written by Elien Vanhamel and Sven Sterken based on Elien’s master’s thesis at the Faculty of Architecture from 2021-2022. In her thesis she critically examined the sustainability claims of a number of recent renovations of office buildings in Brussels, and developed her own model to find her way through the maze of certificates and awards that currently exist.
