Sofa Talk with Sophia Holst and Omar Kashmiry 12/05

Next Friday 12 May we will have a walk-talk with Sophia Holst and Omar Kashmiry on and through the Northern Quarter in Brussels, starting from Boulevard Simon Bolivar (at the steps of Brussels North Station), passing the housing blocks at Chaussee d’Anvers and ending at the new Suzan Daniel bridge. The route holds many stories connected to formal and informal developments in the area and in relation to the issues of borders, plans, politics, games and migration, which Sophia and Omar are narrating in their common research practice.

Omar Kashmiry is an architect and storyteller, he graduated from School of Fine Arts in Cairo and KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture, currently acting as architectural representative of Cinemaximilliaan. Sophia Holst is architect and researcher, graduated at Sandberg Institute Amsterdam and KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture, now having her own practice in architecture research.
