The GOING PUBLIC program of the Faculty of Architecture is a series of lectures, exhibitions and publications organized throughout the year highlighting certain themes and topics that are important within each of the 4+1 Engagements: Urban Cultures, Mediating Tactics, Craftsmanship, Legacy and the Brussels Way. This lecture is part of the Craftsmanship engagement.
Aslı Çiçek (°1978, Istanbul) obtained her master diploma in 2004 from the Architecture and Design department of Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. In 2005 she settled in Belgium where she worked as project architect at Gigantes Zenghelis Architects and Robbrecht en Daem architecten. As guest professor she runs the Narrative Space and Materiality master graduation studio at the KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture, Campus Sint-Lucas Brussels. She regularly contributes to architectural magazines and publications, was the co-editor of the 11th Flanders Architectural Review and is since 2017 in the editorial board of OASE architecture journal. In 2015 she founded her practice with a focus is on exhibition architecture. She lives and works in Brussels.
