Congratulations to Jora van Baarle! Her master’s thesis, “Coming Home, an Atlas,” has been selected for the WE ARE THE NEXT GENERATION exhibition. This exhibition, part of the WONDER Creativity Festival at the Budafabriek in Kortrijk, runs from October 16 to November 2, 2025.
Jora completed her master’s thesis as part of the Sv-On-Po-Gi studio (supervisor Filip Mattens, co-supervisor Arnaud Hendrickx).
“A personal quest to discover what it means to feel at home somewhere, and how we can maintain that feeling of home in a world that is changing ever more rapidly. The atlas brings together experiences, images, and reflections, and explores how we settle into space and what makes us feel at home. It emphasizes what is often overlooked in architecture, yet is essential: the feeling of home.
An open invitation to personal reflection and a guide for designers to focus on the human experience of coming home.”
From 228 submissions, 37 projects were selected by an external jury. They assessed their social relevance, innovative strength, sustainability, exhibitability, and quality within the context of the exhibition. Learn more about the exhibition at wonder-festival.be.
