Guided visit with Silvia Franceschini 28/11

Join the guided visit to the Pre-Architectures exhibition with curator Silvia Franceschini on 28 November 2024 (5 pm) in CIVA. The expo Pre-Architectures investigates a ‘world without architecture’. It is not simply about the negation of architecture, but about ‘what architecture could have become, but what was ultimately disavowed’. The exhibition presents these unfulfilled potentialities as the unconscious fundaments of our spatial environment today, using work by Hans Hollein, Frederick Kiesler, Mariana Castillo Deball, Forensic Architecture & David Wengrow and others. Students will select the favorites and failures from the exhibition and discuss the findings with Silvia Franceschini.

Silvia Franceschini is curator at CIVA and collaborator at the Cittadellarte Fondazione Pistoletto. Her work focusses on topic of comparative modernities, critical pedagogies and alternative institutional making. She holds a PhD in Design and Visual Culture from the Polytechnic University of Milan.

Venue: CIVA, starting at 5 pm (Kluisstraat 55, 1050 Brussels)
