Solidary Mobile Housing is a participatory action research project (promotors Prof. Yves Schoonjans and Prof. Burak Pak, researcher Aurelie De Smet) aimed at exploring if and how the Brussels Capital Region’s housing system could become more resilient through the provision of temporary/transitional housing with and for homeless citizens on urban Waiting Spaces, along with the co-creation of collective neighbourhood projects on these sites.
Today, the Solidary Mobile Housing partners, including the Faculty of Architecture of KU Leuven, are about to start the documentation and evaluation of inhabitation of the second Solidary Mobile Housing Prototype. On 07.11.2023 the Solidarity Mobile Housing 2.0 project will be festively inaugurated.
All colleagues of the Faculty of Architecture are cordially invited to join this event, which will take place from 4.30pm until 6.30pm, at Wapenstilstandstraat 1, Koekelberg. (Please confirm you participation with an email to Aurelie De Smet before 31/10/2023.)
