Tijdens het Festival van de architectuur / Jonge Makers Festival nodigen het Vlaams Architectuur Instituut en DE SINGEL beeldende kunstenaars, performers, muzikanten en ontwerpers uit om hun blik op onze omgeving te delen.
Alumnus Justin Dirkx toont samen met kunstenaar Ayrton Eblé de ruimtelijke installatie ‘Traffic Signs Traffic Signs’. Met graffiti en street art workshops laten ze diverse jongeren hun installatie taggen en vandaliseren binnen de muren van een exporuimte… Lees meer.
Alumnus Alexander Auris verbreedt met zijn werk de blik op de ervaring van publieke ruimte. In ‘4.6 KM‘ lopen vijf queer mensen een route die twee wijken in Brussel met elkaar verbindt. Lees meer.
Alumni Matilde Everaert en Ilse De Sutter ontwerpen ‘Tafelzetting #6 Saffir’. Op het plein voor DE SINGEL maakt architectenbureau Saffir een toren van tafels. De toren hangt vol tekeningen en foto’s van hun architectuur. Het doorschijnende zonlicht en de wind brengen de afbeeldingen tot leven. Lees meer.
*Doctoraarstudente Eva Weyns werkte samen met coöperatieve Rotor aan de tentoonstelling Unfloding the Archives # 6 over Marcel Raymaekers, een pionier in circulaire architectuur.

Alumni Matilde Everaert and Ilse De Sutter design Table setting #6 Saffir. On the square in front of DE SINGEL, architectural firm Saffir has created a tower of tables. The tower is full of drawings and photos of their architecture. The translucent sunlight and wind bring the images to life. Read more.
