Marie-José Van Hee studied architecture at the Hoger Architectuurinstituut Sint-Lucas in Ghent. She is part of the ‘Generation of 1974’, a group of architects who graduated from Sint-Lucas in 1974 and developed a design attitude characterized by a focus on the autonomous logic of architecture and its relationship with arts and crafts.
