Join us in the sofa w/talk with Frederik Lamote at the House of Growfunding, Friday 05 May 2023, 17:30. We will talk about Growfunding, the financial hub for the blooming of urban commons in Brussels, it develops entrepreneurial citizenship by gathering committed citizens around causes that are worth fighting for. Of course we will also talk about Toestand, coworking, temporary use, the piétonnier, and urban activism in Brussels more in general. The sofa will be set at the bar of the new House of Growfunding at the piétonnier.
Frederik Lamote is director and responsible for research and development at Growfunding, platform for civic crowdfunding, he is a doctor in antropology (KU Leuven) with expertise on urban networks in African cities and he has been acting in the board of different non-profits active in Brussels (Volta, Toestand, Globe Aroma).
The Sofa Talk is part of the Architecture & Activism seminar (KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture), organized by Gideon Boie and Lieven De Cauter.
