Elodie Degavre is architect, docent, fotograaf, auteur en regisseur en woont in Brussel. Haar documentaire vertelt het verhaal van huizen die 50 jaar geleden gerealiseerd werden in participatie-experimenten.
Simone en Lucien Kroll, Jean Englebert en Paul Petit zijn de architecten die deze projecten leidden.
Stalen huizen aan de voet van een terril. Een “meccano” van hout. Een bouwplaats in reserveonderdelen toevertrouwd aan studenten. In Brussel, Charleroi en Luik gaan drie architecten en een handvol avontuurlijke bewoners hun woonidealen concretiseren. Vers van mei 68 zullen ze het revolutionaire potentieel van kitarchitectuur demonstreren. Wat blijft er vandaag over van hun huizen van morgen?

Elodie Degavre is an architect, teacher, photographer, author and director living in Brussels. Her documentary tells the story of houses realized 50 years ago in participatory experiments.

Steel houses at the foot of a slag heap. A “meccano” of wood. A construction site in spare parts entrusted to students. In Brussels, Charleroi and Liège, three architects and a handful of adventurous residents will concretize their residential ideals.
