Next Wednesday 14/10 we will welcome Maarten Weyns and Omar Kashmiry from Meow collective on the sofa. Meow collective began informally in 2021, when the two architect friends set out to engage with their immediate surroundings, the Northern Quarter of Brussels, and has since grown into a collective practice exploring the right to the city through playful, community-driven design.
Working across renovation, public space and neighbourhood transformation, Meow collective creates inclusive and vibrant spaces by collaborating with residents, local groups and professionals throughout the design process. Acting as a bridge between communities, designers and institutions, they use workshops, events, temporary interventions and feedback loops to co-create spaces that genuinely respond to local needs, amplifying underrepresented voices and weaving everyday stories into their work along the way.
For the sofa, Maarten and Omar will explore the question “who builds Brussels?”
Join us for fresh discussions, open dialogue, and an evening where everyone has a seat at the conversation, wrapping things up with a drink!
On Wednesdays at 18:30
