The jury, consisting of Belgians and foreigners, nominated 17 designs, including the Van Hove Prize (worth \u20ac 3,000) and also gave honorable mentions worth \u20ac 2,000.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"\">5 graduates from the Faculty of Architecture were nominated and 3 of them ended up in the top 5 with an honorable mention! <strong>Aaron Swartjes<\/strong>, laureate of the international Master of Architecture received the second honorable mention <em>ex aquo<\/em> for his graduation project \u2018<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/internationalmasterofarchitecture.be\/laureate-2017-ghent-aaron-swartjes-collective-patchwork-patchwork-collectivity-a-strategy-for-community-empowerment-and-self-managed-regeneration-of-a-deteriorating-neighborhood-in-havana-el-ce\/\">Collective Patchwork, Patchwork Collectivity<\/a><\/strong>\u2018<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to::<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Herv\u00e9 Beel (nomination)<br \/>\n\u2013 Rani De Backer (nomination)<br \/>\n\u2013 Sylvie Cosyns (first <span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"\">honorable mention<\/span><\/span> <em>ex aequo<\/em>)<br \/>\n\u2013 Sylvia Roelens (<span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"\">second honorable mention<\/span><\/span> <em>ex aequo)<\/em><br \/>\n\u2013 Aaron Swartjes (<span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"\">second honorable mention<\/span><\/span> <em>ex aquo<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\">In 1982, the UPA-BUA organized the Van Hove award (<span class=\"\">which<\/span> is named after the president-founder) for the first time.
