Shu studied for MArch at the Flemish Catholic University of Louvain and obtained his PhD in Advanced Architectural Studies at the Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London. His PhD research focused on the relationship between crime and space. He is presently working as an assistant professor at the Architecture Department of Tunghai University in Taichung City, Taiwan. He teaches classes in architectural design, theory of architecture, and Space Syntax Analysis both in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate division of the architecture department. He is presently supervising the dissertations of 4 MArch students and 2 PhD students and is coordinator of the Advanced Architectural Design Postgraduate program at Tunghai University. His main research interest is the relationship between space and crime. He has published articles in Planning in London together with Prof. Hillier as well as Urban Design International.

Parametric Diagnosis & Prescription Through Space Syntax Lecture by Simon Shu Wednesday 18. 03. 2015 18.00-20.00 at KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture campus Sint-Lucas, Paleizenstraat 65-67 – 1030 Brussels – Aula Space is the invisible interface which in effect plays as a deriving force for daily encounters of inhabitants and this mechanism should be […]

[1
