Studying in Ghent

Our school, a converted monastery, is located in a green environment near the historic centre of the city.

Ghent is labelled by Lonely Planet as ‘Belgium’s best kept secret’. This small town in the heart of the Flemish part of Belgium has been known as the city of free-thinkers and rebels. Today the city still attracts international artists, musicians and other creative people who initially join the different art institutions & schools the city counts. Many of these free thinkers stay and together with the yearly growing student population, they add to the typical flavour of this creative and quirky hub.

As a school we’re continuously in dialogue with the city and its interiors. Research questions are often related to actual buildings and actual problems of the city we live and work in.
