The drawing, made by hand, as an expression of a thinking, doing or design process rather than the drawing as an artistic artefact. Every year, the Jef Van Ranst Foundation searches for design drawings that visually challenge, question or express a process, idea or spatial proposal.<\/p>\n
The Jef Van Ranst Prize is exclusively for students of all Flemish architectural education institutions. The Prize is awarded to one bachelor’s and one master’s student from one of the participating institutions. Each institution submits works by two Bachelor’s and two Master’s students for the selection. A professional jury selects the freehand design sketches, the process drawing and the drawing as a means of communication within the lines of the design sketches.
