About hands-on practice studios in architectural education&#8217; (Authors: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kuleuven.be\/wieiswie\/nl\/person\/00068780\">Catherine Meng\u00e9<\/a> and Laurens Bekemans)<\/p>\n<p>For two years, about 100 students of the faculty worked in the hands-on studios &#8216;On circular materials and processes&#8217; where they did research on building with waste from earth and raw materials. Projects were designed and actually built with self-made experimental circular material. This publication talks about these manufacturing studios and shows in an inspiring way how future architects learn to design in a climate-friendly way according to the principles of circular construction.
