On November 23, 2022, the Professional Union of Architects distributed the prizes to the winners of the successful Van Hove Prize.
\nThis prize rewards ambitious graduation projects by students from Belgian architecture programmes.<\/p>\n

Exceptionally four winners were chosen during the proclamation in the Architect’s House. Two of them are students from the Faculty of Architecture: Liese-Lore Avermaete<\/strong> with ‘Tussen de soep en de pattatten’ (supervisors Carl Bourgeois\/Hugo Vanneste) and Ekin Bas\u0327kentli<\/span> <\/strong>with ‘Mending Wall’ (supervisor Tomas Ooms).<\/p>\n

KU Leuven students who were also nominated: Hanieh Mahpeykar<\/strong> with \u2018LandBouwBelang\u2019 Maastricht Evoked as Caravanserai’ (Faculty of Architecture, supervisor Marc Dujardin), Aline Lenaerts<\/strong> and Theresa Martens<\/strong> with ‘CPR’ (Faculty of Engineering Science, supervisor Geert De Neuter), Lode Vanderbeek<\/strong> with ‘Learning from Vernacular Urbanism – Informality in the Cairo Transect’ (Faculty of Engineering Science, supervisors Kelly Shannon and Bruno De Meulder).<\/p>\n
