Talk: ‘To Come Together’ with Carla Frick-Cloupet & Maximiliaan Royakkers 19/03

Atelier Nocturnes (ULB) and Not an Elective (KUL) warmly invite you for a talk, dinner and meet up on the 19th of March, 2025, at 7 p.m. at the KU Leuven Campus Sint-Lucas in Schaerbeek. Our guests Carla Frick-Cloupet and Maximiliaan Royakkers will share their thoughts and experiences on the topic „To Come Together“ in an open conversation.

Carla Frick-Cloupet is an architect and researcher based in Brussels. She is a member of the collective L’Équipe with whom she builds cultural projects diverting traditional skills. She holds a doctorate in Arts – Architecture from Université Lyon Saint-Étienne and has taught at La Cambre-Horta ULB (Brussels) and ENSA Saint-Étienne as well as research methods at ENSA Paris-La Villette. She is also part of the research collective Bureau FL5.2, exploring authorship dynamics in architecture and currently a studio director of ALICE at the EPFL Lausanne.

Maximiliaan Royakkers is an architect and researcher exploring contemporary social, political, and ecological issues through spatial projects, artistic research, and pedagogy. He holds a master’s in architecture from KU Leuven and a diploma from the Sandberg Institute. He co-founded Albergo Rosa investigating the intersection of making and writing in spatial realities. Since 2018, he has contributed to Seasonal Neighbours, a research project on seasonal agricultural labor. He has been an architect at Vplus since 2015.
