The VERTICAL URBAN FACTORY exhibition, curated by New York architecture critic and educator Nina Rappaport, presents the innovative architectural design, construction technique and processing methods of important modernist and contemporary factories, with speculations about the factory of the future.
The exhibition will open on Thursday 28 April at 6 pm in the Sint-Gorikshallen in Brussels.
On Friday 29 April at 4 pm there will be a guided tour, followed by a round table discussion at 6 pm on the theme ‘The hybrid factory and the hybrid city’ in the presence of architects and urban planners Bram Aerts (TRANS Architecture, KU Leuven), Dieter Leyssen ( 51N4E, KU Leuven), Ward Verbakel (Plusoffice Architects, KU Leuven), Matteo Robiglio (Politecnico di Torino), Giulia Setti (DAStU, Politecnico di Milano), Ianira Vassello (Politecnico di Torino), and Kristiaan Borret (bouwmeester master architect).
