Talk on CARE Architecture 6/11/19

In this talk on care architecture we will discuss two recent projects in Flanders, in a dialogue with the architects, looking for inspiration in our search for innovate hospital architecture.

First guest is Alexander Dierendonck, principal at DierendonckBlancke architecten, who will present Het GielsBos, care home for disabled children and adults in Gierle, set amidst the natural environments of the Kempen.

Second guest is Jo Taillieu (architecten De Vylder Vinck Taillieu), who will talk about the Kapelleveld center for elderly care, in the suburban village of Ternat.

The talk is organized by the studio Care Architecture, part of the master program at the KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture, Campus Sint-Lucas Ghent, led by Gideon Boie and Layla Lavens.

Location of the talk is the Kanunnik Triestplein (design by architecten De Vylder Vinck Taillieu) at the Karus Psychiatric Centre, Caritasstraat 76, Melle. We will gather at the fireplace. Bring your blanket and drinks.
