Simon Desimpelaere and Nicholas Ronchetti runners-up Vectorworks Design Award 2019

The Vectorworks Design Award is in its fourth edition. This international design competition for students is looking for the most talented student-designers in architecture, interior, exterior and entertainment.

In the first, local round, the jury of the Vectorworks Design Award 2019 rewarded three intriguing projects with $ 1,000 each for the designer(s) and free Vectorworks software and training for the laureate’s faculty. Two runners-up in each category within each language area win $ 500 each. Congratulations to all laureates!

Simon Desimpelaere and Nicolas Ronchetti from the Faculty of Architecture (graduated in 2019) were concerned with the vulnerability of mega city Karachi. With this project, these two runners-up attempt to arouse the desire to work towards a sustainable community, aimed at facilitating and making life safer, while at the same time offering solutions for the consequences of climate change.
